"People don't heal through insight alone. They heal through understanding, connection, and the experience of feeling genuinely safe with another person."

I'm Larry Borins, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families — across outpatient hospitals, family health teams, and private practice in Midtown Toronto.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and relational. I work with the emotions, histories, and protective patterns beneath the anxiety, conflict, or self-criticism — so that something new can begin to emerge.

I'm also a husband and father of three hockey-loving daughters. That experience informs how I work with couples and families more than any textbook ever could.
