Digital and mobile media offer new opportunities for connection as well as new causes for distress. As the focus of the family has turned to the glow of the computer screen – children constantly texting their friends, parents working online around the clock and new threats such as cyberbullying, online gaming and tech dependency – everyday life is undergoing a radical transformation.
How should caregivers, parents, teachers, therapist, physicians and concerned adults respond to the new dilemmas that these media bring into our lives? I’m excited to be facilitating a Media Mindfulness workshop at the Centre For Mindfulness Studies on May 9th, 2014.
